CG Friendly Leave-in-Conditioners in India

May 16, 2017

It can be so hard following a CG friendly hair care routine in India! Not only is there a lack of awareness about the method, there is also very little access to products without silicone & sulphates available in stores.

Now thanks to e commerce sites like Amazon & Flipkart, we have many products that are being shipped to India. Yes, they’re 700-900 bucks more expensive that what you’d pay for it in the states but it’s still good to have them available at a week or two’s notice.

Note: CG Friendly leave in conditioners do not have silicone in their ingredients list. This prevents build-up of chemicals on your hair. Using products with silicone in them over time make the hair limp & lifeless, without any bounce and need a clarifying shampoo/sulphate shampoo to remove build-up, making it a vicious cycle.

Don’t understand what is CG? Read this: What is the CG Method For Curly Hair? Do I Use This?

Remember: You have to comb your hair after applying any of these leave in conditioners to wet hair (right after you finish with your shower). You won’t see the result properly otherwise! Check out this video tutorial to learn how to apply your leave in conditioner.

If you think I should include any product, please leave a comment below & I’ll add it to the list.

Hi Pallavi, can you suggest some CG approved shampoos that are available in India? I have been able to find conditioners that are CG approved but having a tough time with shampoos.

Hey! I had a query! I oil my hair before shampoo. I use a mixture of organic coconut oil and organic castor oil. I never co wash but if I co was using Wow Coconut conditioner, will that take off the oil? I use L’oreal intense smoothening conditioner, WOW Apple Cider Vinegar Shampoo and QSera Leave in conditioner followed by Enliven Gel. I use Biolage’s Hydrating Masque for deep conditioning. And I love your curls!<3

Castor oil is quite heavy s I wouldn’t suggest co washing after that.Last thing you want is the pores on your scalp to gt clogged; this will cause hair fall later. And thank you! <3
